This ginger tea recipe is very easy and quick to make , its made by combining tea leaves water, ginger ,cardamom , milk and sugar .
This is an Indian refreshment drink usually had in the morning and evenings .A hot cup of ginger tea is the first thing I have in the morning to jump start my day. Tea can be had with any snacks or biscuits of your choice .
Ginger tea or masala tea is a flavorful tea with some dry spices added in the tea while boiling . The spices give the tea a very distinct soothing flavor . Here to make this ginger tea recipe quick and easy and yet flavorful, I am only adding cardamom and ginger.
Usually people also combine a lot of other dry spices to make this tea .
But this ginger tea recipe is a simpler and noncomplicated version of masala chai.
Since it is made with ingredients that are easily found in our kitchen and also its easy to make.
- Tea powder – 1 tsp
- Sugar – 2 tsp
- Water – 1 medium sized glass
- Milk – 1/2 medium sized glass
- Ginger – About and inch peeled and grated or chopped into pieces
- Cardamom – 1 pod
Take a small saucepan or a medium sized deep vessel .
Add in one glass of water and 1 teaspoon of sugar and let it boil , to this add grated ginger and also open up one cardamom and add to it .
Let this boil for about a min or so then as you see the sugar dissolving add in the tea powder and let it boil further when the water reduces a little bit add in half glass of milk .
Here before adding milk, reducing the water little bit is a very important step.
So that the ingredients are well combined together and when milk is added to it, it gives a very nice taste to it.
